EMERGENCY SPILL RESPONSE
Earth Technology is a State of Connecticut approved and licensed environmental remediation and emergency spill response contractor performing work in accordance with Title 40 CFR Parts 280 and 281, Title 29 CFR 1910.120, CGS 22a-449, and all other state and federal regulatory requirements.
With our office centrally located in North Haven, Earth Technology can respond to any spill in the state of Connecticut within two hours of notification. All Earth Technology spill response employees receive at a minimum the following training:
- 40 Hour OSHA Hazardous Waste Site Operations and Emergency Response
- 24 Hour Hazardous Materials Emergency Response
- OSHA Confined Space Entry and Rescue
- DOT HM-215A and HM 126F
- Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

The nature of emergency spill response is to expect the unexpected. Earth Technology is equipped with the highly trained personnel and a vast assortment of materials that are needed to handle almost any situation. Earth Technology will respond to the site complete with our Emergency Spill Response Van which transports all of the necessary materials and equipment used in hazardous waste clean up. Our inventory includes: Emergency Response Plan for Transporters, Absorbents (Speedi-dry and pads), Protective Gear, Overpack Drums, Fire Extinguishers and many more supplies that allow us to respond to any situation no matter how diverse

Our highly sophisticated field instruments and vacuum trucks allow us to expedite the identification and recovery process for any spill. Our Wet/Dry Turbo Vac operates at a rate of 3500 cubic feet per minute, which equates to a rapid clean up time. Once on-site work is complete on a spill, Earth Technology will transport the waste to any one of several licensed EPA approved disposal/recycling facilities.
